Privacy Policy
Short version: the app has no account, no analytics and no tracking. We do not collect data from the app.
The app
- The phone's screen, audio and your input stay between your phone and your Mac over the USB cable. Nothing is sent to us.
- The app connects to the internet only to check for updates at tethercast.com (a standard request that includes the app version and your macOS version, as with any Mac app updater).
- Your license key and settings are stored only on your Mac.
- Diagnostics are copied to your clipboard only when you ask; you decide whether to send them to us.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, under its own privacy policy. We receive your e-mail address, name, country and order details from it. We use them only to send you the license key, to provide support and to keep the records that tax and accounting law requires. We never sell or share them for marketing.
This website
The website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and keeps no access logs.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it (except records we must keep by law), by writing to support@tethercast.com.
